After an absence of 14 years Phillipine Airlines recommenced services to Brisbane with RP-C3331 A330-301 c/n:184 seen here landing as PR 214 from Melbourne and carrying on to Manila.  Flights will operate on Thursday's and Saturday's with A330 equipment.

We recently had a Maltese Registered A318 visit our airport carrying band ACDC, seen here is Global Express BD700 9H-XRS of Comlux Malta.  Nice to see some exotic registrations visiting our port.

Seen here is recent delivery to Australian shores Global Express BD700 VH-OCV c/n: 9326, this aircraft is operated by Execujet Sydney so will hopefully become a regular sight around Australia and other parts of the world.

Transmile B727 Freighter transits Brisbane.

Noted transitting Brisbane on the 6 March 2010 is Transmile Boeing 727-247F 9M-TGG c/n: 21699 l/n: 1485.  This aircraft is seen here about to land at Brisbane for a tech stop, before carrying on to Malaysia.  This aircraft has been covering for DHL Boeing 727 freighter VH-DHE whilst it was away having maintenance preformed.

February very good month for Brisbane and Coolangatta.

Seen here is Emirates Sky Cargo B777-F1H A6-EFD c/n: 35606 l/n: 766 bringing a spare engine and tooling to Brisbane (BNE/YBBN) for it's sistership Boeing 777-31H ER A6-ECK c/n: 35584 l/n: 743  which required a engine replacement due to a bearing issue.  Both aircraft remained in Brisbane until the job was done and returned back to Dubai with unservicable engine.  A6-ECK ferried back to Dubai empty.

Not usually seen moving during daylight is SAAB 340AF VH-KDB c/n: 8 of PEL-AIR.  Good to see these nocturnal aircraft moving during daylight.

Seen here on the 16/02/2010 is Atlas Air N409MC c/n: 30558 l/n: 1242 loading the V8 Supercars for there next round of racing in the Middle East.

Seen here is Jetstar Airbus 320-232 VH-VGZ c/n: 3917 with new Quiksilver decals applied both promoting the brand and the start of the recent Quiksilver Pro Board Riding competiton on the Gold Coast.  Good to see another logo jet.

Probably the most exciting and rare visitor for us on this day was Asia Pacific Airlines Boeing 727-212 c/n: 21349 l/n: 1289 N319NE which is in Brisbane (BNE/YBBN) to replace the Heavylift Boeing 727 whilst it goes for maintenance in Manilla, Phillipines.

Friday the 12/02/2010 saw Dassult Falcon 7X demonstrator N748FJ c/n:48 visit Brisbane (BNE/YBBN).  Aircraft arrived from Melbourne (MEL/YMML).  This aircraft is visiting many ports around Australia after appearing at the Singapore Airshow.

Friday 05/02/2010 saw the arrival into Coolangatta/Gold Coast (OOL/YBCG) from Lord Howe Island with Pilot Steve Death and wife aboard, this aircraft is on delivery to Nepal from New Zealand via Alice Springs, Broome & Denpasar to Nepal.  This is one of many aircraft deliverys of this type through Coolangatta.  Here's hoping Terry Magee can capture a few more for us.

A good start to a new month.

Well Brisbane has had a good start to February apart from the weather that is.  The first of 3 special visitors was N944H  GV-SP (G550) c/n: 5016 of Honeywell Aircraft Leasing which arrived from Singapore (SIN/WSSS) on the 31/01/2010 at around 17:25 is seen here sitting on the General Aviation apron.

Also arriving later that evening on the 31/01/2010 from Cairns (CNS/YBCS) & Coolangatta (OOL/YBCG) was Boeing 737-8EX/W BBJ2 A6-AUH c/n: 33473 l/n: 1196 of Amiri Flight Line.  This aircraft departed today the 01/02/2010 at 15:15 for Ayers Rock (Uluru) (AYQ/YAYE).

Also arriving this morning 01/02/2010 was Dassult Falcon 900B M-SAIR c/n: 141 of W.A. Developments and is seen here resting outside the Brenzil FBO hangar.  Not a bad start at all to the month, lets hope it brings more like this.
