Virgin Blue orders 18 Turbo props

Virgin Blue group and Skywest entered into a 10 year deal to service regional Australia with Skywest operating 18 turbo props in Virgin Blue branding. They will operate to existing destinations and to new ports around Australia. SOURCE(ASX)

There has been much speculation on Aviation boards today that the aircraft are either Q400's or ATR-72's.We will have to await this announcement.
No doubt we will see these aircraft at BNE as numerous regional ports ex BNE only have one carrier presently and cry out for competition.BNE is of course Virgin Blue's head office port.
We await with anticipation.
